Problems In The Philippines

What is really the problem in the Philippines? Let us know the problem and maybe I can spin it.

START with
1. OVER POPULATION. Population is too much too bear. Don't blame the real Filipinos for this. The country is very hospitable to the many refugees in the '70's due to flash flood and typhoon and the country being at the "middle" becomes the "anchor in." Don't blame yourself, for they are just like you, the color of your skin, and they tried to speak the National language too. They tried as much as possible to become Filipinos. Besides in History we are taught to respect "forefathers and our descendants." Yeah Filipinos are not racist. Filipinos are very friendly, hospitable people. They welcome almost everyone to their homeland.

2. Millions of professionals, newly graduates who are ready for work but cannot find work. Not too many job opportunities. Not too many job vacancy. You have to have "padrinos." It's whom you know system. After all everyone is knowledgeable, you have the diploma and you can work but you really need to know it's whom you know not what you know.

3. You have work but the wages are very low. Minimum wage have problem meeting both ends. Not enough to have a family with wages you make. You really need to have 2 to 3 part time job. That means you have to go abroad and work there, bring dollars home so that you can afford the burgeoning prices of commodities. Less wage and price of product is too high? Unfair? Real unfair.Bad.

What is the minimum wage in the Phils. now?

4.Tuition fees are too high. You can already built a rocket. That's how bad it is. Schools and university have to compete with the high standard of education  from well developed countries by increasing the tuition fees of their students.

5. To build a house? Rent or owning a house is costly. You need to have an income of at least P30,000/month to be able to rent a decent house or apartment. Food, clothing, transportation? Problem too that I don't want to think. You will need tylenol capsule for headache everyday. You have to be a millionaire to own a two bedroom house with only one bathroom, small living room and small kitchen.

6.Pollution. Too many garbage. Smoke velching vehicles along the highways. Can't blame them. Poverty is rampant. Who can afford SUVs, Explorer, Minivans, Porsche, Dodge Ram, and other 4X4's? There are rich people there who have those vans and nice cars but they were foreigners or Filipinos who probably are there for vacation or holidays.

7. Unpredictable weather. Flash flood, typhoon and earthquake. Thank God there is no hurricane or tornado. There's always a heatwave. Is there enough water?

8. Prices of commodity is high. Imagine with having low wages and the price of product is too high? Yet there is no tax to pay. Thank goodness. Also you can bargain at other stores in the metropolis such as in Baclaran, Divisoria and talipapa.. At least not "too high" as the price of commodity in Canada and the US.

9. Traffic congestion. Over populated areas have high volume of traffic. Of course, too many buses, jeepneys, cars and vans.  All transportation h-ways are occupied.

10.NO Racism. Absence of racism is a plus. Wow! How nice. Because of the color of skin, almost similar features. height and attitude we think alike we're all the same Filipinos. Hard to pinpoint who are Indonesians, Malays, Singaporean, Koreans, Japanese, or Chinese.

11. Too many Government Representatives. Are they working for the good of the government of their country? Or they are working for somebody else?
