In My Own Opinion

Fond of reading materials that are very interesting. One of them is the SONA speech of the Pres. of the Philippines Benigno Aquino III. In his speech na tagalog na tagalog. Ganun na ba talaga ngayon kasi nung araw when it comes to "speech" eh the former pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos seldom speak in Tagalog. Most of his speech is in English. I think it's because of the many foreign dignitaries who are ever present in the palace, in his cabinet, in his regime. Most of all it's easy for everyone to understand at that time where and when most of the population can speak and write in English. Philippines maybe a country that belongs to the Filipinos but the country is populated by people from other parts of the country who cannot understand Tagalog because they speak a different ethnic tongue or dialect. Or maybe that's their language in the province. In the 70's when all of a sudden the country was filled with too many refugees who end up being Filipinos because of the color of their skin and facial features almost similar to the original inhabitants but seldom speak the original language Pilipino or Tagalog but can understand English.

Anyway, what I noticed is the almost repetitive word used in his speech > wangwang! What is wangwang? lol. I found it so funny though. I wonder who is the speech writer of the President. That is not a tagalog word. It could be a semantic? Or just an appeal for everyone to tune in and provide relief of comedy? Wangwang is a term for a "noise." Whatever. It could be a siren. Vera Wang for Project Runway. Wang for LuWangO. Wang for aswang o malapit na ang  costume party for Halloween. Wang is not "wag" because it has an "n." Wang is not timawang. Wang is not nakatiwangwang. Ahahahha.

I think his message is for the government workers who help or helping him shape the good government that he wants to lead. It's always been the armed forces who should be in his order for they are the main security for his leadership, for peace and order, the security of the government. If the government is secured then the whole country is in stability economically and politically and the order of leadership stays in place. It's easier and better that way. After all it's for the good of all involved in his regime. Remember the government is of the people, by the people, and FOR the people.

What is codified and what is not. What is the main priority in a given speech? What is the main emphasis? Is there a typo error? What is the word being repeated? What are the spelling demons? Categorical? Allegory? Scattergory? I f you don't know the answer the message is not for you.

For those who think that they will work for the good of the country because they were assigned to by their leaders? In today's world there is always a CONTRACT to sign for all that. No contract you cannot ask somebody to do the work especially when the work is risky and will jeopardize the worker's health.
IN TODAY's WORLD when almost everyone is educated you can only assumed that nobody wants to be taken advantage.
