I don't know if its true that the Green Party of Elizabeth May was eliminated in the Debate against other Party candidates in Canada. The question is why? Why wont they allow her to join the debate? That's unfair you know.
If you are thinking that the battle is about Conservative & Liberal Party only... then you are wrong. You need other Parties in the Parliament. Look at what happened in the US with Republican vs Democrats.
CANADA is a country of different ethnicity. It is a country of diversity, different nationalities that hailed from different countries in the world. The first Prime Minister is not a native, not an indigenous born in Canada but a Scottish born in Scotland, Prime Minister John A. Macdonald was born in foreign land not in Canada and was the first leader who governed Canada! Unbelievable right? Actually nothing's wrong with the Scots or Scttish as they remind me of William Wallace (BRAVEHEART played by talented actor/director MEL GIBSON), Scottish reminds me of Sean Connery, the JAMES BOND and the HIGHLANDERS.
It should be Scottish English the prime universal language in Canada but they added French as its bilingual language. Wow! Complicated. Complicated as in they pledge and had oath of allegiance to the Queen of England (Q Elizabeth II before) and then now to the King of England... the Parliamentary procedure is British then they have to honor the French language which I think honors the country of France. If Canada is a "sovereign nation" it must stand alone, therefore it is not UK, not France and absolutely not USA.
That wont happen in the Philippines. Although Philippines was once under the colony of USA, and had its Independence the form of government is based from American. I mean English language is much easier to use as medium of communication than Spanish. Its therefore a "choice." Choices are that's what it is in Philippines we have choices. It wont happen in the USA where English is their prime language of communications even if there are immigrants who speak different languages. I mean only in Canada!! where two foreign countries still dominate its country in language and form of government.
I was questioning that on my first year (1992) here in Canada. Ha? I was like... surprised. That's my first urban legend. And I first thought of Canada as ultra modern with all the urban landscaping with all the skyscrapers taller than Empire State Building but surprise of mountain high and billions of trees and lesser homes. I remember the long driving my husband and I had from Vancouver to Prince Rupert and overwhelmed of the vast wide long miles of highways and you can't see nothing but mountains and trees. Where are the people in this country? Then we stopped at Overwaitea to buy some groceries and a Filipina woman saw me and approached me and asked if I'm a Vietnamese. I said no. Then she asked me again if I'm Chinese.
What about her? She doesn't really looked like a Filipina. She who asked me about my nationality was too dark or too black to be a Filipina. My Mother is "mestiza" so maybe that's why I have fair complexion and all my friends in Philippines have fairer complexion as if they were Chinese mestiza and Spanish. Why I looked younger than other people my age? WHOEVER I AM DOES IT MATTER?
Anyway, it was once a hair-raising moments way back then. It feels like a morbid horror story. LOL.
After the pandemic, something happened so mysteriously!
