Competitive World In Education & The Workplace

 You heard of those people mostly Filipinos wonder why other Filipinos who are here already in Canada had advised you not to come here in Canada. Well dudes, you know the real truth? 

It is not about selfish acts nor being insecure. It is just a good advice not for you and your family to suffer racism, unemployment, the high cost of living will tend you to work on 3 jobs if you are healthy and able. You will become disabled for having to work hard to meet the needs and wants you desire to be at the height of your ambition. Seems like the kind of hard work you are fond of living in Philippines, right? Just the same in a different climate condition and other known high pressures. At least here, you can own a vehicle. Everyone can own a car because it is a necessity while in Philippines whether you are well to do, owning a vehicle is not a necessity because of the presence of all kinds of transportation. You get out of your home and you can call a tricycle driver to drive you to the market or passenger jeep just nearby. Bus is available almost everywhere you go. The problem in Philippines is the traffic congestion. A drive to the school or university can take only 30 minutes if there is no traffic. But in populated areas such as in Manila & Makati, that 30 minute drive can take 1 hour to at least 2 hours at rush hour. The worst thing that happened, you can be stranded in your seat inside the bus for more than 2 hours. You can use the LRT but with so many people lining up to get their way it's more like a battle. Yeah, sweat it out!

Yeah, the Health Care is free here in Canada! Pharma Care? You are eligible for free Pharma care if your meds more than $950 for a year. Deductible. Health Care free also in Philippines if you have the right card. 

Not because you are hard at work you are free from paying income tax in Canada. You pay more taxes here in Canada than in Philippines. You have 3 jobs? Not worth it. More taxes to pay. You don't pay tax on goods and services in Philippines. You can haggle or bargain certain designated places: market, business stalls, in textile and accessory stores in Divisoria & Baclaran. Haggling is really superbly important in buying and selling. Yan type ko sa Philippines yung "tawaran." lol If you're smart at haggling you get the product you like at discounted item. It's fun.

That;s why it's FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES.

Education here in Canada is much better here in Canada? Hmm, not that I know of. But I think the teachers and professors here are easy to get along with. There is that "equal opportunity." 

The University professors in Philippines are mostly "bookies." They memorized their textbooks for lesson plan and they want the students to do the same. VERY STRICT. Ihad 2 Harvard Grad. professors in FEU so I know how strict they are and very orthodox method was used.

Our Philippine University esp. University of Santo Tomas built by the Spanish friars was the oldest, ancient, meaning Philippines way ahead when it comes to education and civilization. Wonder why Dr. Rizal studied in Europe instead eh? Spanish friars were hardened by the orthodox kind of doctrines imposed in them through the inquisition.  FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY is the best co-ed for International students and in Philippines, Filipinos not far behind in its usage of the English Language. Filipinos are bilingual and knew some other dialects too. I don't really know why some Filipinos would rather educate themselves in Canada when we have too many prestigious Universities in Philippines. I know why. EDUCATION IN PHILIPPINES IS MUCH STRICTER and OLD SCHOOL. Truth is education in Philippines is highly structural and you must be very smart. We believe in the ROTE SYSTEM. Mostly memorization. If you can memorize the textbooks the better you can be in the most competitive way. Lots of competition. Education in Philippines is like an Olympic sport. There is no way that you can work while you study. It's hard and it is not advisable.

For those who can study and work here in Canada while enrolled in University YOU MUST BE VERY SMART. Then for Filipinos to have chosen educating themselves here in Canada... those Filipinos from Philippines must be "richer than you are." Maybe they are kids from wealthy millionaire families and other motives behind that is I don't know for sure as giving them benefit of the doubt. I know they have reasons or they were promised or lied about of the real truth.

If they really like to study here in Canada who we have to deny them of their ambition. It's their lives at stake. That's their goal and if they are using their own money, not your money why not? If they become your hindrance, competition for work and from your own goal and vision of the future... then that's probably the problem. The point is, Filipino competitors would be your fellow Filipinos. The White Canadians or the people who were born here in Canada have nothing to fear but the unknowns.What are the unknowns?

NOTE: The AI Robot in the internet has manipulated my own usage of what should be capitalized and lower case. I tried to correct that error but still is the AI wants the Education to education for labels. WEIRD right? tsk! tsk!

That's what it is with ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE and wonder why Elon Musk is afraid of AI. You don't want AI manipulating space flight and rockets firing esp. with S.A.M. in its trajectory.

Can you just imagine a space flight going to the Moon could land you in another planet?

There are too many UNKNOWNS. One by one I will have to tackle those unknowns. 

My daughter informed me that she already watched that FIRE COUNTRY Episode: All The Unknowns. LOL. Oh no! It was a replay. It's ok, don't really like the theme of this tv series starring Max Thieriot (SEAL TEAM star) who was imprisoned because of the wrong accusation about him and his true character. His lazy lawyer didn't really worked for him much. It is not his fault if his passenger on his vehicle wants to get out while their vehicle is at the highway and his sister wants out.  Pity on Bodie for being always the accused. Something wrong with the story in this series. Later on he was accused again and again and back to prison. So weird already. Their intelligence is out of whack. Then the girlfriend who is such a sl---! Is there anybody smart and more beautiful to be Bodie's new girlfriend in that series? 

Another UNKNOWN? Liam Neeson in this movie Unknown is another suspense mystery especially if somebody had amnesia and the only one who believes him is a female taxi driver, a stranger who happens to be a runaway.

Another unknown is the movie THE NET starring Sandra Bullock. What if...yeah WHAT IF that situation happened to you? It could happen to you if you don't have friends at work! If you are living a recluse life or everybody in your circle of friends are having dementia, amnesia and alzheimer's. Or the worst if all the living were victims of body snatchers and aliens.

Lastly, WHO...

Elementary

What if the tactical strategy of World War II is elimination of educational background, educational certification and only what matters is the SKILLS of such individuals or the people who are accepted in the workforce?

I watched an old movie about a boy who was left behind by his parents who were diplomats in a foreign land. It was World War II and the casualty of war was horrendous, it was totally pandemonium, in a panic mode to escape to another land safer from any obstacles, from any harsh, abstract, injustices, mass killing and elimination of race the boy was left behind by his parents. The will to live and survive had the boy almost in a melancholia, it was a miraculous event of some sort that he survived in this kind of holocaust. I think if a person, no matter how younger in physical and mental attributes but the willingness to survive and have that gutsy feeling and because he is intellectually intelligent and smart he was able to live and escape atrocities. He is smart. The role he portrayed in that movie is one to be remodeled by younger generations. He didn't have University or College education. He was not in High School. He was just a boy (maybe in Elementary School) but what kind of education you had during your elementary years, the primary? It's ELEMENTARY.

You can be a boy scout or girl scout and you probably have knowledge in survival skills. You are taught about how to set up fire and cook simple ordinary food. You were taught to build tent and gather firewood. You were taught about the usefulness of ropes and cords and hand signals. You learned trails and mazes. You were taught on finding clues and evidences. You learned how to swim and paddle your canoes. You can mountain hike or climb up the tallest tree if necessary. You learned about First Aid, read and write. You were taught about law, golden rules,  and learned  all the good virtues, obedience, honesty, friendship, respect and etiquette including good personal hygiene. They are the knowledge of ELEMENTARY. If you passed all these Elementary requirements you will pass High School and College Education.

In that movie, the well experienced boy turned out to be the most highly intelligent and intellectually gifted in manners of survival. Hard to believe that knowledge in Elementary will take you that far and left behind those most highly educated individuals. Intelligence takes no age and no certification to make them valid. It just happened in EMPIRE OF THE SUN.

Same Old Story. New Version

Last night's episode of  TV Show > MIKE & MOLLY is worth thinking. Why the mother of Molly gave the house to Victoria instead of Molly? Molly's sister is single and works as a make-up artist for dead people. Molly is older than her sister Victoria so why the house should go to Victoria? Why not to Molly who is married to Mike, the policeman? Maybe Molly's mother knew that Victoria needs the house because her job as  a make-up artist for the deceased is not a high-paying job and besides Molly is a teacher and Mike is a cop therefore they can buy their own house. Why the need to reside at the house of Molly's mother when they can stay at the house of Mike's Mother. There's possibility that Mike's mother will give her house to her one and only son. Complicated? Teacher and a Cop for occupations? In the USA? How much do the cops and teacher make in a month for salary? How about here in Canada?

When my children were studying  in Elementary school, teachers always had the "strike or wage hike increase" and other bargaining solutions they tried in effect but proved futile. I don't think they receive what they want. I don't think the children during those tumultuous times had the proper education because of such conflict. One of the saddest part  when some people are so selfish, insecure and immature and bad things can creep out lashing in and out in one of us. Creepy and evil.

Parents thought the teachers were already receiving wages higher than what it should be even if not deserving of their time inside the classrooms as teachers. Complaints such as small classrooms with many students not given enough attention. Conflict on students with learning disabilities such as: AUTISM, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, DYSLEXIA, Apraxia, the deaf-mutes, blinds or other developmental problems. Problems on so many other personal problems that teachers can't solve them because it's not part of their job description. Whatever it is,  students passed and graduated based on their performance and self-effort, partly most students have outside help when teachers were on strike. Thanks to the good mothers in our time (including me of course)  and the tutorial services of highly skilled and  educated human beings outside of schools. Thanks to the many robots and androids inside the highly intelligent COMPUTERS!

Because the population of students decrease in British Columbia so many schools had shut down or closed for good. With the newly arrived refugees last year and this year and  arrival of  new immigrants with young kids maybe the schools will pick up and new schools will open up to provide education to these people. It will take refugees and new immigrants to make things right and to raise the high standard of education. How nice! Same old story from the past!

Do You Know The Answer?

This story I have to tell you one more time. TIME! I maybe repetitious to you but did you ask earnestly that you are more than repetitious in so many ways. At least I know who I am. I who never changed name. I who knows you more than ever. I > who knows more than you do. You may believe me or you don't believe me at all I don't care!! People believe me all the time because they can see the sincerity in all my work and what I can do creatively. I who wont allow cheating. I who never stoop down low at anybody just because I want fame and fortune? Every person want fame and fortune. Aren't you crazy not wanting it after you have done so many work. Lots of it. Lots of work and these group of people who just came into the picture and posed for the picture get the grant? That's totally absolutely UNFAIR, right? No wonder why they have DAYAbetes! No pun intended for such cheating. DAYAbetes is not an illness. Diabetes is an ailment, an illness but DAYAbetes is not. Whatever you are pushing or pulling please let me tell you this straight from my heart tama na ang trick nyo. STOP pulling the hamstring. Grants are given to those who made a point, difference and most of all to those who are deserving. There are certain criteria for a GRANT I don't want to give you the details. Besides SCHOLARSHIP grant is actually for those MOST DESERVING SMART PEOPLE who did their work, studies, and research. If it's an individual grant for students let me make this clear that grants should be given to students who excelled in the academic not extra curricular. Yung hindi sipsip at higit sa lahat yung talagang nag-aral sya based on that person's ability and capability without any help from anybody only from books, textbooks, and from the source of what the exam is. You know what I mean? Individual talent. OWN TALENT that the person excelled. Yung hindi dinaya at walang dayaan.

How many students were given grant because of "sipsipan process" this kind of granting the wrong way is WRONG! There are too many suckers in this world sana mabawasan. Higit sa lahat do you want to be a victim of such "smart people" whose ability was doctored? If you're kids are not smart the teachers should emphasize that and you know they will be blamed also for such anomaly. Anomaly that they don't know how to teach. Reason for this that the fund intended for the school suffer in the end. Ganyan na ang patakaran sa schools sa Philippines. Both students and teachers suffered if one of them failed. So what's the remedy for that? Is this kind of maneuver being implemented in the schools in USA and Canada? Be the judge.

Ok got your answer. You're low on lithium. Ther' ya go your such a bear in a bearnation. They want to sell something that they don't owned. GFY.

Education In Our Present Generation

It's funny though when thousands rally and made protest on the street to voice out their grievances, you just can't stood still and watch; you have to be with them to whom you connect.

So you have those scholars from UP, UST and FEU and many scholars from other prestigious university holding placards about their unhappiness with the present regime under Pres. Noynoy Aquino. Teka, did you know that under the former Pres. Marcos the same complaints were aired. That means nothing has changed? Time will go on and yet the tuition fee for students in private schools will go UP eventually no matter what. No amount of the increase in the workers' wages will help augment the burgeoning sky-high tuition fees. Once the price of oil, gas and basic necessities, GNP of the Philippines rest assured the schools and universities will increase the price of education. While the demand of tuition fee increased the students population diminished not because they walked out but because nobody can afford the high price, the cost of acquiring knowledge through the help of professors you meet everyday personally in a classroom. Too many drop-outs already!

What could be the best solution in today's generation we should have ONLINE University dedicated to teaching lessons about the diploma course. In the 60's there are private sectors who are graduates of  Correspondence Schools. It was certified by the government and the main branch school that those schools are legal. They should have ONLINE UNIVERSITY too for the sake of those who are willing and able to study through this method. How the process should be available is through an ICR = Internet Chat Relay. Yahoo Inc. had that Chat room with different rooms for subjects you want to learn. I think that method was popularized only for the sake of those with disability or handicap people. But then if you can LEARN better that way in the most economical way esp. those who are taking a course in computer science  whether they have disability or not. Google should try that or Facebook. An applet designed chat room for subjects intended for High School and College thr. the diploma program. Same kind of lesson plan initialized in local schools and university but through "online internet access." Would that help the students of today? It helped a lot of office workers by easy comfortable access to their office ---- done at home. Why would it not be appropriate if the learning is done through the net at home?

Let us see how the University and many private schools react to that kind of education.
