AFTER.LIFE

 Last night, we watched the movie of Christina Ricci, Justin Long & Liam Neeson. It's about AFTER.LIFE  It's a horror movie. Most of the movies of LIAM NEESON was action movies and he is the main character or the lead actor. Actually in this movie he is both the lead actor sort of becaue he is the running the show in his portrayal of the  owner of a castle turned funeral home, he was the embalmer too and the grave yard digger plus he was also the coroner.

IN AFTER LIFE the story begins with Ana, a school teacher  (Christina Ricci) was having mental problems already and to ease the pain she consumed a lot of prescription pills. At school she has a young male student who has weird strange relationship with his negligent old guardian at home and was bullied at school and Ana was there to protect him. The boy wants a ride home with Ana but she said no but because she has to stop at the pharmacy and at the funeral where somebody she knows passed away that's where the funeral home owner (Liam Neeson) had spotted her. The funeral owner followed his gaze until she rides her car overlooking through his window. Ana gobbled down more pills and drove to the restaurant where Ana's boyfriend was waiting. They both ordered duck for dinner and tasted the glass of wines. Something happened through their conversation as in boyfriend comparing her with her other, she's gone berserk, boyfriend followed her not to drive home because the weather is unruly anyway and she had wine, right? Unfortunately, Ana had fatal car accident. She ended up at Liam's funeral home! She woke up!! But Liam was not surprise. She doesn't believe what she was saying. He kept telling her she died and she is DEAD ON ARRIVAL. The coroner/embalmer let her do what she wants. WAS ANA DEAD OR ALIVE? WE the viewers of the movie could be confused whether Ana is dead or alive and the funeral owner was just lying and or he just was a butcher sort of trying to make money for the funeral home. It seems like Ana is still alive! Even if she was given a muscle relaxant that keep her in comatose like situation/condition. But every time she wakes up. The boy student saw her from the window talking to Liam. She was alive! Why Liam don't want her boyfriend see her? What's the reason? Anyway, Ana was able to contact her boyfriend through dreams, through telephone call. Ana found out that she is really dead and for the last time she asked for a mirror but then when she saw through the mirror that she is still breathing she knows right there that Liam was lying and it was too late, Liam wants her dead actually and the funeral memorial was ready for the mother, family and friends public viewing. The boyfriend had enough alcohol to drink and gone mad at Liam but he was told of her Ana that only few minutes that he could do. The boyfriend wants to save her out from the grave yard and drove, zoomed in as fast a could but he woke up at the morgue with Liam and the boy who are waiting for their next victim. 

NOTE: Who are the villains here? Was Liam eliminating the ALCOHOLICS & DRUG ADDICTS? Or just that he is the "butcher" wanting to make money from all the DEAD PEOPLE? Ana and the boyfriends are the villains because alcoholics and drug addicts are not supposed to drink and drive and cause hazards and danger on the roads, streets and highways causing other people to have accidents and caused their own death.  ?
