FIRE COUNTRY the latest episode: False Promises. I'm glad that Max Thieriot as Bodie Donovan stopped being a hero. He's always been the HERO in the popular tv series SEAL TEAM. However, everytime the situation calls for his heroism in Fire Country. He should have been the organ transplant donor for his Mom but one of the firemen decided to offer his own kidney for his mom because they are "matched" anyway. However, due to many odd circumstances the operation was cancelled because the donor had severe allergic reaction to anesthesia causing the "code blue case. " While Bodie Donovan was struggling to help Eve out from the fallen tree that pinned her down on the ground. Then Rebecca's sudden fall after all the rescue, all the struggles trying to save lives...
In a television series, the most dramatic ones always have to sacrifice one or two members of the cast. Who will the producer, director, or scriptwriter let go, choose or select from among those actors of the show or series. What kind of selection is done whether an actor or actress is no longer needed. Just like in THE WALKING DEAD, or GAME OF THRONES every show or every episode must deal with letting go of one's character just as a proof to shock the viewers senses or just that whoever that actor should or must leave the show and how its being done in a very creative strategic way.
In False Promises, it was Rebecca who was let go. She died from the complication of that fatal fall. So why not Eve or Bodie's mom? I know somehow that there must be a reason for such situation however the scriptwriter's the only person who can answer or attest for that when they don't need the actor or actress as it might complicate things in the end? Unpredictability in television series add mystery and conflict in every story. Make things complicated. More like math or calculus problem of X=Y.
FIRE COUNTRY should have been a winner of Emmy Awards but you know there are more sipsip shows and series in showbiz.
