I couldn't help laugh at funnyman Rick Gervais way of making people laughed out loud as he hosted the most prestigious award giving body, the GOLDEN GLOBES, which as you probably know he is the master of ceremony and his comedy is fantastic. You'll never know if he is drunk or just pretending to be drunk so that he can wildly do his outrageous antics to his audience of mostly famous and fabulous actors and actresses of Hollywood and millions of tele-viewers anticipating the result of the Golden Globes Award's night. Of course it was once again a night of sophistication, glamour and awesome appeal of bravado and what else can you add? Drama and suspense? Surprises? Rick Gervais finally come to terms introducing the famous action star Mel Gibson on stage and their dark sides were erased and truce was held right there on stage. I didn't even know that in the past they had that old gap, only then the audience knew as he rekindled memories of the past and played fair and as a gentleman shake hands with Mel Gibson that everything's been forgotten. Unforgettable showmanship. Bravo!!!
Standing ovation for Sylvester Stallone for having won the Golden Globes for CREED. Members of the Foreign Press. the Media and Hollywood celebrities paid such "homage" by their long applause of admiration to the famous actor known as "Rambo." I watched all his movies and you can't just admire his sense of humor and his action-packed character, he seldom talk in his movies but his fighting skills are tremendously remembered by people who love the action more than words. His speech is also incredible and thanked his true friend Rocky Balboa. By the way, did you notice that the cast of "Expendables" are all present in this ceremony? They should make another sequel to that movie.
Gerald Butler (the action star of "OLympus Has Fallen") and Helen Mirren were on stage to present an award and Helen mentioned something about age, and I didn't really catch at first what she meant for having to say something like that. Who knows the true real age of movie stars? They could be lying about their age or followed their managers and the studio who built their career as career wise nobody expect them to reveal their age anyway and it's impolite to ask their age, as in having to be in the age defying world that is SHOWBIZ.
The winner of the Cecil DeMille Award goes to Denzel Washington who was lost for words, and couldn't find his eye glasses so that he can read his written speech. He was able to thank his family in his last moment on stage before he exits the stage. How bizarre! Ghee, that man had hundred of movies made, and surely he'll be remembered by movie watchers around the world.
Lady Gaga won a Golden Globe award for his performance in short movie made for TV, "American Horror Story: Hotel
Jennifer Lawrence won an award for best actress in the movie "JOY."
Jim Carrey in his reasonable way of flaunting his prowess in comedy. He tried to be as skillful as any comedian and as a natural comedian himself do you think he is better than Rick Gervais? LOL. I cried laughing at Jim's jokes as he presented the long speech for the winner of the Golden Globes for Best Actor (Motion Picture, Comedy Drama), Matt Damon in his character performance of an astronaut in the movie "The Martian."
Best Motion Picture, Foreign Language - Son of Saul (Hungary)
Best Musical Score - Mozart in the Jungle
Best Screenplay Motion Picture - Aaron Sorkin for Steve Jobs, the movie
Best TV Series Drama - Mr. Robot
Best Original Song - Writing's On the Wall sung by Sam Smith
Best Actress TV series - Taraji Henson for Empire
Best Actress for Motion Picture Drama- Brie Larson for ROOM
Leonardo de Carprio won the Golden Globes' Award for Best Actor in the Drama movie THE REVENANT directed by Alejandro Innaritu. Leonardo received a standing ovation and proceeded with his long speech acknowledging his gratitude to the people who helped him marked his status as an unforgettable actor and then his speech has exceeded to the political side about indigenous people and then he was cut offline, end of the show moment.
Congrats to the winners and to the losers? Better luck next time. But do you think they are losers? Being nominees for this prestigious award meant so much for TV and Movie personalities and winning the Golden Globes meant so much for them in the most remarkable way. Remember it's GOLDen!
To those I forget to mention in my blogpost? Maybe it's one of those moment when Alzheimers strike back!
