They are proud of their God-given talent because it is theirs. Their gifts belong to them. It is not stolen. It is forbidden during their time when their masterpieces are stolen. They will kill for it.

You have to be proud of your accomplishment. I am proud of my accomplishment. So just like them I want the thieves be punished for stealing what I have. Other artists ? For this reason when their art works were stolen they ordered punishment and even the worse thing that happened? War broke down because of such claims.
