INCOME SPLITTING FOR MARRIED COUPLE IS THAT GOOD?
It's GOOD & GREAT at the same time. That's the usual normal common ways to have a tax break for families.
In the Philippines the income splitting was normal. The income split is at least 90% of income given to the wife by the husband so that the wife can do all the budgetting inside the household. It was during that time when the husband is the only breadwinner. Some Filipino husbands follow that house rule and or marriage rule even at this age and time in the year 2014. For the modern family when the wife works also or the couple both are working there is that realization that they do not have that obligation to share each other income or maybe depends on who pays the mortgage, food, gas, electricity and clothing plus transportation and other miscellaneous obligations they promised each other in verbal not written form. There are few loyal husbands who shared their income to their loyal wife at least 50% to 75% even if their wives work.
In Canada and in the US, only few husbands share their income to their wives that's why 75% end up being separated or the worst is getting a DIVORCE. Their income end up to NOTHING or ZERO after the split case was admitted to court. After the legal fees for the lawyers the couple and many couples after them with the same problem end up with ZERO. They don't even have coins. No bills, no coins to spare with their kids. So many of them END UP in tragedy. Tragic.
The proposal of INCOME SPLITTING by the Finance Minister would be a "dream" only for millions of Canadians because The honorable Finance Minister has resigned from the Harper Government. You think the new Finance Minister will resume the prosposed income splitting for couples?
What's the problem with income splitting? The real problem is when there's nothing to split anyway. Or if both couple are not working. If a man works and the wife stays at home doing house work and looking, caring after their own children therefore the husband should share his income with his wife rather than sharing his money or finance with another woman. Rather than pays a housemaid which the man or husband has to pay at least $1,200/month plus free medical and dental insurance and live-in arrangement for the maid. Maids' expensive taste you have to be acquainted to because nowadays maids are college graduates with university diploma.
But what's Worst of all is when the husband shared his finance with another man while the wife ends up with nothing. What if you find out that your husband is gay? That he doesn't split his income with you is because he is giving his fifty percent income to his boyfriend. WTH is that? Tsk! Tsk!
That Mr. Flaherty's suggestion with the Canadians, throughout Canada, and thr. the world. It seems that nobody likes that idea and maybe the cause of his resignation? We don't know. I don't know the real cause of his resignation and to have a 73 year old man as the new Finance Manager is certainly very strange and pose millions of questions from the amazed people of Canada. The retirement age for Canadians is 65 upgraded to 67. What a 73 year old Minister can do for Canada? He could be a billionaire? He's gonna give away some of his millions?
Sounds like a movie?
