I have one favourite quote that I read recently. Let me post it for you to read:
" I'm beginning to believe that the Philippines is either a poor country pretending to be rich or a rich country pretending to be poor." - Emil Jurado
Hmmm---let me think about that a lot of times. Oh, with all the trolls err I mean the toll gates at the express way and with millions of vehicles rushing non-stop to get through their destinations you may say that alone ..those toll gates are revenues for billions of money and you might ask the LoT whether the Philippines is the land of billionaires.
The Philippines is the richest country alright during the 15th Century. It wont be a colony of the Spaniards or wont be an ARChipelago if its not rich right? It is the richest in natural resources that's why it was subdivided at the time of Dr. Jose Rizal. For 500 years under the rule of the King of Spain wherein the natives are bound to its rule of the law > government it only meant the Filipinos are citizen of Spain. Not Filipinos but Spaniards. Let me say this again...500 years! Unless of course you or the people long time ago would like to assumed as slaves. A lot of things happened in just one hour, in 500 years what do you think will happen to the people in just one archipelago?
Dr. Jose Rizal according to the book is of Malayan heritage. Malay-polynesian heritage. His mother is a Chinese but they were Spanish. They lived in the Philippines. Were they called Filipinos in that period of time when they are under the government ruled by Spain? For 500 years? The universal language is Spanish not English. Probably only few can understand English...maybe the rich and powerful can understand English or studied in America.
1900 a year of uncertainties. War broke out between the Spaniards and the Americans. The Americans won in that particular war. The universal language became English and what happened to the Spanish language? It was phased out in the Philippines and almost everyone wants to learn English from english educators. The government, language and culture has dramatically changed the Filipinos adopt and has adapted to the new American form of government. Inter-racial marriages, the Filipinos mixed with American culture and tradition, too many mestizos and mestizas abound and what else followed? Commonwealth is the result of this union. Westernized and too much education has led the people to choose what is right for them and that's what is being "americanized." The freedom and all the rights they can get. The Americans moved back to the US knowing they are no longer needed after what they have done to the Filipinos of long time ago.
Then World War II. What is really the problem here? too much knowledge? Or too much wealth? The first World War I is the cause of two powerful and influential people had this so called "war" and then the friends and relatives equally powerful get into that fire and then the flames broke out and they couldn't stop the fire. WWII is the same way. The same CLAN so powerful and influential acquired so much power again and BOOM the clash of the titans is once again seen and read in World History.
That's the best explanation. Simple explanation. Walang halong drama. tutuo yan. It's always that CLAN, the family from the blood of Christ.
Do you have the blood of Christ running over your veins?
I don't know when the crusade will stop. Do you know?
The story is always the same you know.
There 's always a FALLOUT.
Then my own quotation:
Never insult a woman with a brain the size of a pea. know why?
She could be a "Cal cu LA Tor."
