PROROGUE OR NOT TO BE? That is the question...

 AS WE ALL KNOW IN CANADA perhaps not too many know... that CANADA is an INDIGENOUS LAND, a country of Indigenous from FIRST NATIONS, METIS, INUITS, ESKIMOS( 5% of the population in Canada)  before the French & the British came into power. However, the VIKINGS were originally settled in Canada primarily in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador before anybody else.

Each Province in Canada is governed by Premier all under the Prime Minister & Governor General. Each province has it laws and bylaws and treaty. That's why when the Prime Minister co-signed the oil pipeline deal with Alberta's Premier, the deal was put on hold because the Premier of British Columbia and the First Nations were not asked for consultation consideration on such delicate complicated project first.

Now the latest, heard of the PROROGUE? How many times the Parliament to Prorogue? Several times but not in the situation with PM Carney. According to the latest news, Parliament wont be Prorogue this time. GREAT! Maybe they have the POWER OF THE PURSE!

They just OPEN UP the PARLIAMENT... you want it closed?

How many watch the QUESTION PERIOD anyway? Who watch it on your TV? There are many watchers on TV especially those who love watching NEWS 24hr per day. Business people, the MEDIA, News reporters, lawyers, accountants, taxpayers, healthcare workers, people from all various walks of life, pensioners, school children who wants to know more about politics & economics and of course mostly smart people. Well don't need to explain about this. Think for yourself. 

PROCEDURE AT THE E.R.

IS IT REALLY LONG TIME WAITING AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM (ER) in every province in BC? What's the reason behind it?

I think it has something to do with  ONLY ONE ER DOCTOR? Or the procedure takes a long time because depends on how many patients are waiting to be served or diagnose.

Let say you come in at  10 am at the ER Hospital. Patients are asked to register first. That also depends on how many are waiting to be registered.

PROCEDURE:

1. Registration of the patient

2. Patient to be ushered at the waiting room to be diagnosed by doctor, but before that the patient has to wait for blood work. The result of the blood work takes an hour if its not busy. 

3. Nurse should check the patient's vital signs: Check for temperature, check for blood pressure. height, weight, and ask the reason for checking at the E.R. ONLY if they read the health document that you are having problem with something that need extra care that the cardio will have diagnostic test in another room.

However, for whatever reason there is no procedure like this. You have to wait for another hour. Sometimes 3 hours for the doctor to see you. This is when there are only 25 patients waiting at the ER Lobby.

4. Blood work result and cardio result  arrives and been checked by doctor. The doctor has to do his job analyzing the cause of the problem. Then another blood work to confirm the test.

5. Hours passed by after 4 hours, if there is no need for alarm, the patient is allowed to go home and rest and if there's a need to change medication  then have an appointment with the cardiologist or GP. 

6. It takes 4 -6 hours for all the procedures at the ER as it depends on how many patients are waiting for diagnosis: Blood work, Cardiogram, X-Ray, MRI, Ultrasound. Patients are allowed to wait at the ER to find out the result so that ER Doctors know what to do, diagnose,  and find the cure and solution within 4-6  hours period.  It's always a case by case basis. 

For those that need surgery or immediate operation of course, such as those who were shot, stabbed or had vehicular accident of course they don't have to wait for hours and hours to be taken at the OR. They are the first to be administered with care and attention.

 ER should always have 4 ER DOCTORS per day especially on peak day or "busy days." NURSES (RN) should be able to take every patient's vital signs: Checking temperature, height, weight, blood pressure for their medical record on heir visit to the ER. That's the work of ER Nurses. They don't have to sit or stand there at the ER doing nothing. The ER Doctor must  be able to analyze the reason and cause of the problem after the results of the blood work, cardiogram, and other procedural test. The doctor must be knowledgeable in all aspects of MEDICINE otherwise find another job.

QUESTION PERIOD to take place once again once they are seated at the House of Commons. PM Carney vs. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre.

UPDATE: The Liberals are in MINORITY threshold and asked for collab ops or Collaboration from other Political Parties at the Parliament.

The only reason why the Parliamentary form of Government collaborate are in times of war, occasional Holiday parties, funerals, Sports (esp. Hockey against USA Team), Olympic Games, and the Trump Tariff Threat. 

They tackled the HOUSING once again. Are they affordable? If 3 bedrooms are $1,500/monthly that's what you call affordable. Everything over than amount specified is NOT AFFORDABLE or maybe they are affordable only for six months and out again from such houses or condos. Think of how low minimum wage per hour and compare the high prices of commodities: FOOD, CLOTHING, FURNITURE, HYDRO BILLS, MEDICAL BILLS (Medicines), Utility bills, etc.

 I had just read an article about INDIGENOUS and the rights and benefits they received from The Government of Canada. 

I know that this is controversial. So let us have this as topic of discussion today. Who are INDIGENOUS? Are you Indigenous? Were you born in Canada and where? How to find out if you are NATIVE CANADIAN? Supposedly the first inhabitants of Canada came all the way from ASIA. Long, long time ago after the Jurassic period of time, the land before time. Canada and USA were FROZEN as in ICE AGE in 15th Century.. There is really no HISTORY that resonates to Native Canadian until 18th Century (Unlike in Philippines had its dawn of  civilization before Year 1500). The first Prime Minister of Canada John A. Macdonald who hailed from Scotland not Canadian born and he was the first leader of the Government of Canada. Why? Why not a Native Canadian? Tell me about this. Where are the Natives of Canada? There was a mention of a Native Canadian who was executed under Macdonald's regime.

It was such a long story though. Where the Natives of Canada, the Inuit who lived on igloos? Recognize their facial features. They looked like Mongolians. Sorry about that. It's HISTORY in the making. The Mongols were conquerors and they were wanderers, together with their yaks and other farm animals they settled from one territory to another looking for greener pastures for their animals in the Northern part of the world.

Are the Natives of Canada the same as Natives of America? The Natives of America had prominent noses and they are much taller and robust, with red skins, look at those Cherokees and Apaches. 

The Natives of Canada looked more like natives of Mexico. Could it be the Spanish missionaries had brought the Mexican Indians in Canada during the 17th & 18th Century? Spaniards used to bring natives from Asia in a shipload for them to do brick works for their cathedrals, churches and schools and monasteries.

I know, I know the NATIVES or INDIGENOUS get more benefits and rights in Canada. Everyone knows that. Aren't they so lucky?

I am not against the INDIGENOUS. The word Indigenous originally came from the Spanish word "Indio" and  "genus."  They are from the Brown Race. You can have DNA Test to prove how much of your blood is Indigenous or what percentage of your bloodline just to be sure.

So many Canadians don't really know one from another. They don't know who are First Nations, METIS or Indigenous because so many of them are already mixed. THEY ARE ALREADY WHITE CANADIANS. How to identify them is just by affiliation but because not too many of them speak their Indigenous language. 

When POPE FRANCIS came to Canada, wonder if the Indigenous people of Canada found answers they were in search for such a decade. Hmm... were they able to find the answers of where they came from originally? They probably have historical records at the VATICAN's Old Library.

One controversy that of Buffy St. Marie who was shamed publicly because she pretended to be an Indigenous. She looked Indigenous or "Native Indian American" actually. Looked like. Have you seen those Indigenous who do not look any hint of being Native but they are indigenous? They are so white skinned from head to toes with blue eyes and blonde hair as Indigenous? ? ?

You'll never know right? That's why a CENSUS, new CENSUS is coming to Canada in the Year 2026 and hope the questionnaires would be favorable this time. Unlike those questions of how many bathrooms or toilets in your home? 

Let's have questions like this: Who owns Canada? Who owns the Earth? Do you believe in God? explain your own existence in Canada. What you can do for your country Canada? Who  should serve in Canada? Do you think the voice of the people is the voice of God? And hundred more questions just to test the people of Canada.

CANADA is considered a "Sovereign Country." It can stand alone and free  from colonialization from other countries. Or you'll be colonized.

However, Alberta wished to be "sovereign" from other parts of Canada. 

The First Nations opposed to such "political issue."

Anyway, it is up to you whom you pledge allegiance with.

Today is the "Swearing In Ceremony" for Mark Carney and his Cabinet members. Would you believe that Ms. Karina Gould (House Leader of the Parliament) not offered in the Cabinet, wonder why. Too smart eh? 

Melanie Joly still being the Foreign Affairs Minister and kinda looked more like the Prime Minister of Canada. Actually don't mind if she'll be the next PM of Canada. She's a lawyer, smart, articulate, well experienced in global affairs, politics and the economy.

However, let's have Carney today, this year ... who will be sworn in today as the new Prime Minister of Canada and how he will tackle politics and economics against Trump and other leaders of the world need to be seen.

The Constitution Act, 1982, removed the final few reliances Canada had on the British Parliament, making Canada a completely sovereign nation.

Election Process

 I remember way back then in the Philippines when it comes to election, nobody votes in advance. The official casting of votes must be at the official designated date and it is only for one day. No campaign allowed on both political parties during the election: casting of ballots. The casting of ballots must end before 10 pm  on that particular day. No ballots to be cast after that date and past that time only the counting of votes. The Election process are held in public schools and teachers were the ones officiating the process. There are watch guards to make sure there's no cheating in counting the votes. It is televised of course.

However, in Canada & the US, advance ballot castings are allowed even if the campaign process is not over yet. The official ELECTION DAY in the US is on November 5, 2024 (Tuesday).

Meanwhile in BC: It's a neck to neck battle with NDP Leader David Robert Eby (46) against Conservative Leader John Rustad (45).  

47 is the magic number to win the Majority seat at the Parliament of BC. 

There was a meticulous recounting going on. According to the latest news, tomorrow is the day Sunday to know the result of the Provincial Election in BC.

NOTE: Still unfinished with the counting... instead of Sunday... it's today Monday the final result of the BC provincial votes. 

Well, hope that the counting will finished today because the British Columbians are waiting that long.

WHY?

 There is always that "thing" that upsets humans from facing life's struggles and some of these things are bearable and unbearable. For  humans with self discipline and good moral conduct... they can uplift themselves up and know how to control human emotions.

However, for the vulnerable it would be a different scenario.

No wonder why some humans tend to commit atrocities that you can not ever imagine.

Violence and other misdemeanor and other sort of malady.

So fellow humans out there who are struggling it's time to face the truth.

VOTE FOR another human who will work for you in many chaotic problems that we are currently facing such as high inflation, high cost of living, housing crisis (nobody can afford), high price of commodities that Canadians are willing to seek the Food Bank. Disgusting. How in the hell Canadians would go to Food Bank? It was never heard in the 90's to Year 2000 until just recently during the pandemic outbreak. That one year to year period had families without the income they are used to have monthly. Those months without earning had them losing sleep on how they have to pay mortgages and rents and all the debts.

NICE TRY PANDEMIC SCHEME! Those A-holes have to pay for such malingering causing chaotic propaganda of an outbreak made up to make money. Those graft and corruptions made up outbreak to make those rich a-holes to earn more and expand their GREED. That COVID GREED to commit graft and corruption at highest level. NAZI. That's NAZI strategy to obedience to authority at their lowest level. THE PENTAGON will be watching those A-Holes every move they make. 

Tell me who is not in poverty line after the pandemic? Who are not struggling and suffering? Are you healthy? To think that old age pensioners also suffer because their pensions are too small to live by. That if there is small amount left over that pays for medications. 

Think about this... Why suffer and struggle while the rich and wealthy don't do anything to be a part of society. Do they pay taxes? Why are these type of humans too greedy? How greedy are you? 

Do the politicians that are supposed to work for the people will do their work accordingly and properly? If not, there is always a step forward not only in casting votes. There are ways and means how to combat graft and corruptions in the government.

CHECK & BALANCE.

Remember: THE GOVERNMENT IS FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE and FOR THE PEOPLE.

 I happened to watch CPAC, the process at which the Parliamentarians run the Canadian Government and there was QUESTION PERIOD as usual and most of the questions are "the same" and the question directed to the Prime Minister of Canada JUSTIN TRUDEAU. Wow! Those guys are roasting him like crazy! With the same questions time and time again and they were replied with the same answer again and again in different manner and statements, until finally the Prime Minister asked them to help in the task of what should they have to do together. 

In a burgeoning problems of the Government and if the budget is not enough, all the Parties: Liberal, Conservative, NDP, Bloc Quebecois should set aside their differences and start uniting for the good and betterment of the country, politically and economically. Why divide when you can unite for common good?

You don't like to end up like RUSSIA Vs UKRAINE.

Sometimes DIVERSITY works and sometimes not. But you know, they are educated and they must comply and prove that they have what it takes after all they were there to WORK FOR THE PEOPLE. It's not that they have to work to serve their ambition or help themselves to enrich, make themselves rich and add problems and conflict. They were elected to serve and they must serve and fulfill those duties and obligations because it's the people who still pay for  their services.

There are many positive feedback and negative comments about Canada's new GG. Is she tougher, stronger, smarter than astronaut former GG Juliette Payette? Is it in timing with the controversial news of missing indigenous people only to be rediscovered on unmarked graves? Anyway, forces of nature could only be accounted for those "unmarked graves." Or still is a mystery hard to fathom for now until the Truth Commission had it last findings. Whatever that mystery about and all the conflict leading to the misery, treaties, and what could be behind the scenes? I don't know. A parliament is dealt with the process of "talk." Sometimes without any record of history. It's just a talk or conversation between "higher heads" and what the subject of conversation is not our business.

Parliament opens only depends on how big is your purse. How large is your budget?

Otherwise, pharmaceutical companies, salesmen, medical health workers will keep on advertising as their moonlighting to keep them alive. ?

Do you watch DWTS or Dancing With the Stars? The show last night had that special presentation of Disneyland's characters and the dancers have to wear costumes of their favorite fairy tale characters. Looks like some of the dancers had upgraded their skills in dancing and dance moves. However Len Goodman had problem seeing the movements of the dancers' legs ( Hanna Brown and her dance partner) because their dance sequence was covered with cloud-like effect. Hanna and her partner had chosen the Aladdin theme sitting on make-believe flying carpet. FLYING CARPET and clouds are supposedly visible. You know Len Goodman always are so keen observant on the movements of legs as if he is a judge for the Olympic Games. lol. He should judge Olympic figure skaters/dancers. LEGS! LEGS! LEGS.

What's going on at the Canadian Parliament? Why Ms. Rona Ambrose quit her job as a member of the Parliament (Conservative Party). Quit or quitting? Don't tell me there's no more challenges and she's bored about politics. Mr. McKay once the Defence Minister under Conservative Party also resigned from his job after the former PM Harper decided not to run for office and after defeat in the last Election against PM Justin Trudeau.

Could it be that the longest government service at the Parliament should be less than 10 years at least. Only Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King lasted for 20 years working as Prime Minister which is the longest term serving Canada and  Canadians. Twenty years in office! He was a lawyer and his reign in office was during or at the time of war which was the "complicated years."

The shortest serving done by Prime Ministers of Canada was in Canada under PM Kim Campbell and PM John Turner. Why, you may ask. Could it be that they are lawyers and curiosity got in the way that serving at the Parliament are not their cup of tea? They make more money being lawyers that's for sure.

I first thought with Ms. Rona Ambrose being at the Conservative will land her career as the next female Prime Minister of Canada. She's got the looks, integrity, merit and so many experiences in public office and she's a great orator. She can talk. She can explain herself properly, she's smart and she's got personality. What she will do next? She is still young and able. Canada needs someone like her in politics especially at the Parliament. PM Justin Trudeau needs an opposition, tough and brave as she is she should stay being Conservative and WORK for the good of Government.

How many times the Conservative Party of the Prime Minister Stephen Harper has changed and re-shuffled in the past. So many times already. The first time was when the Minister of Defence Peter Mckay's vision was very sharp like  an eagle.

Why all the re-shuffle? Few ministers have resigned or retired? Many got tired of the slow-moving phase that's happening within the government?

So many red tape?

What could be?

To better familiarize each member of the Cabinet to appreciate, demonstrate and make use of their skills to the tasks at hand.

What each member of the Cabinet will bring in to unite, strengthen and make use of the funds, raise more funds, make themselves fully utilized their God-given talents and potentials so that they can uplift the political and economic ability and capability of good government. How they can better serve the country and its people.

Give them the key questions of  WHY they have to serve the country and the people of Canada? They should know the answer even before they are officially elected, appointed and well every educated individuals whether they used to serve the government knew what their tasks are the more they have to know their power and responsibility once they have that GO signal to conduct business in the name of  the POWERS that be whom they take allegiance with.

CANADA is a parliamentary government. Therefore the Head of State is none other than Her Majesty, QUEEN ELIZABETH II. Government officials abide by the rules of conduct and secrecy under the Queen of England.

So be it.

A Tribute to the Late MP NDP Leader Jack Layton

The House of the Parliamentarians open today after a long recess. Summer is over! An honorary tribute is given to the late NDP Leader, MP Jack Layton who died last August 22, 2011 after a long battle with prostate cancer.  In their formal best attire the parliamentarians led by the Speaker of the House, PM Conservative Leader Hon. Stephen Harper, NDP Nicole Turmel, Green Party leader Hon. Miss Elizabeth May whose voice is loud and clear accent and diction almost perfect that almost everyone can hear and listen to. Her tribute is one example of an emotional yet straight to the point of how speech should be made. Clear, concise, eloquent and  has a very touching yet calm- effect soothing to one's mental cues. Simple yet the true message is there. More like a message of truth not just a script or stage.

Heartwarming applause and warmth of embrace filled the emotional yet stern faced NDP MP Miss Olivia Chow after having to say what she wants to let everyone knew of how she felt, her courageous speech, her lonesome feature as she tackled the process of despair, loneliness, yet no empty feelings of the past. The whole process of the wake, life and death, and survival after the death of a loved one. With all the sympathy and condolences from people she knew and remember and from the people whom she never knew were there also to pay tribute to her late husband. With all sincerity she end up her speech with legacy that  Jack Layton once said " no one should be left behind." With her right hand on the wooden board desk topped with her left hand, rest assured that her message is heard.

Your Roof's On The Wall

Are we watching the same old story? Are you watching the same old debate from previous debate before by these group of politicians? Probably nobody even recognized the same "background" of having the orange or tangerine roof surrounding the candidates. Roof? Wall? Whatever you may call it.

I kind of think that some voters they don't really pay attention much to the politicking of their high officials or politicians who represent them in the Parliament.

To think about those debates, public forums and parliamentary practice of any government officials may cost you lots of money. So that's maybe the "debate" is somewhat a replay. Or just simply a RIP. Or maybe my television broadcast is from Lalaland. He he he.

Young students and young voters were asked about their opinions on this matter because it is their "SAY" or OPINION that matters this time. Although of course old people knew their tactic already.

READ PARLIAMENTARY Practice and its rule and laws: Every time, time and time again they are always looking for a political group with the biggest purse otherwise nothing gets approved. A group may have minorities but if they have the biggest purse and capital to attain the goal of the parliament then it may continue to proceed or what else could happen? Me or you working again without pay because everything would be voluntary?

How you can pay the mortgages? How you can send the children to school? To University? Without wages or salary, you don't get benefits like CPP (pension and other benefits). Probably you get to have free food from the Food Bank but are they good? That's kind of low life and it should not be the last resort for there is NO WAR in Canada. Is there?

Yesterday as I watched the movie "The Time Keeper" wherein the young timekeeper who arrived in the camp unknowingly what he will be up to in the next few days of his stay in the camp. What happened is a bout of surprises, fight for wages, and food. The work that they have to finish is the backbreaking work of building a railway for the trains to pass through in the wilds or out of nowhere. The only way out is the boat and sea plane. Turned out everything is controlled by either the bull cook or the guy who leads them with an iron fist, a gun, and a dog. Anyway the end of the story is something you have to watch. Poor young man who is such a neophyte when it comes to the old man's vast experience about the job they have to undergo and finish -ed.

Lesson: Don't lose your head by gambling for there are too many prophets of doom and too many scams and liars nowadays. Be very careful.

What is Parliamentary Procedure? Do you know? Have you been in a country that adopted the parliamentary form of government?

PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE
is a method by which meeting is held or run in a fair and orderly manner. The rules implemented and used by : Government officers and members, town officials, professionals and businessmen. Church organizations, Student council, Social group and other governing bodies who in one way or another seek an orderly form of organization.

There's a book titled ROBERT's RULE of ORDER - Book about Parliamentary Procedure that was published in the Year 1876. This Book is used by most organization in the United States.

Meetings are presided or lead by leaders. There is a temporary secretary that records all the minutes of the meeting. The bylaws state the purpose and principles as they are carried out for actions. The meeting also include the position, preposition, amount of dues being paid by the members of the organization. Each member should pay the dues. Duties and functions of each officers should be known to all members.

QUORUM - majority of the total membership, roll call of members

WOODEN HAMMER - also called as GAVEL used to rap to keep the members quiet

TABLED - Unfinished business given an attention. If action can be postponed the matter may be TABLED (set aside) to be considered in the next meeting

RECOGNIZED -permission to speak.

SPEAKER has the FLOOR one subject at a time. Speaker can be cut off when the Speaker is out of topic.

MOTIONS- plan or suggestion approve or not

After all action has been taken and matters due for further consideration have been taken or otherwise disposed > THE BUSINESS ENDS.

Here's the catch: In all the procedures of the Parliament GG or Governor General is not mention in the BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE. NEVER mentioned in any Parliamentary procedure. But since we are in the 21st Century the matters of the Parliament becomes a MODERN PARLIAMENT. Why is it?

The answer would be because the Party in power (Acquired more votes from people but not in the Parliament) in that country has the MINORITY and therefore needs a GOVERNOR GENERAL to tackle the PROBLEM. Sounds confusing isn't it? Twist and turn in the NEW MODERN POLITICS.

However, since the CABINET members had to cooperate the ruler usually chose persons who shared the same political ideas. Under PM Paul Martin in his time, he had chosen Gov. General Adrienne Clarkson. Then GG Michaelle Jeane after PM Martin left office and she's still the Governor General up to this time under PM Stephen Harper. Who is GG Michaelle Jeane?
