 Canada's PM Mark Carney and his wife including their kid had a visit at the Vatican City of Rome to meet the newly elected Pope Leo XIV and to attend the Sunday Catholic Mass as he is as what he said a practicing Catholic. Good for him. Faith in God, a family that prays together stays together. What's next? Politics or Economics which is first and which is second?

Of course it should be ECONOMICS first. Is there a budget? Usually is there should be a bigger budget for burgeoning population of more than 40 MILLION people in Canada. 

The question of where those revenues are coming? GOVERNMENT should have its owned industry or owned source of resources, financial means to get their source of income. There should always be enough sources and resources. While those privately owned or ownership of other business people are also source of government's funds through taxes. How many people, how many businesses, or companies who are paying its taxes? Canada is a country with too many billionaires and millionaires, no doubt about it. All Canadians are tax payers. For every goods and services that people of Canada pay that added source of income for the GOVERNMENT OF CANADA. BILLIONS OF DOLLARS accumulated per week just for the GST & PST thanks in part for the patronage of goods and services within Canada.

WALMART warned their customers that prices of goods in their department stores will take its hike. There will be a price increase in their products. They are apologetic but they cannot control such price hike because blame it on the tariff imposed by Trump. Well who else should we blame for it?

PM Carney inherited a Trudeau Government wherein billions of dollars were allocated through war effort. It is not Canada's war but they allowed themselves to be a part of it. Is it a Canadian's problem? The "for as long as it takes aim and purpose|" that landed former PM Trudeau in hot water and out from Canada's politics. When a leader's aim and goal is outside of the country he governs then OUT he goes and the Canadians not forgiving such attitude. Anybody who followed to such doctrine is going nowhere. You are voted and elected by Canadians you must serve the people who elected you for office not somebody else. BECAUSE... dude when did WAR BECOMES AN OCCUPATION?  When did war becomes the source of income for those people at war? 

WHEN WAR ENDS? And why should it STOP? Because nobody is CRAZY AT WAR? Are you that crazy to prolong the war? What is wrong with you?

FAIR ENOUGH? This situation could happened with other leaders and the people's power > VOX POPULI VOX DEI.

GST TAX HOLIDAY ENDS at MIDNIGHT TODAY!

 GST TAX HOLIDAY FOR TWO MONTH ENDS TODAY/TONIGHT  (February 15, 2025)  AT MIDNIGHT. 

Did it help consumers and store owners of this tax holiday which is just 5%? I hope so.. But some business owners said "not at all." Because to change the program of their cash registers caused them more expenses than having profit at all. 

Maybe it helped parents who have young children who are still on diapers and those children's toys and other miscellaneous stuff they bought at least 5% off from their expenditures.

You can only feel how huge the tax if you are buying in bulk. That's why 25% on imported goods to be exported to US would be staggering exorbitant.

Exports to US are in Millions to Billions of Dollars that's why 25% TARIFF > it's like being hit by an earthquake. 

NOTE: EARTHQUAKES Being felt could probably caused by fracking and boring machines beyond earth.

Let say the Export of such goods in 500 BILLIONS$ + 25% = 625 BILLIONS $ ($125 BILLIONS) For that $500 BILLIONS  worth of goods, you have to pay $125 BILLIONS of Tariff. 

WOW! They knew how to slap Canadians with BILLIONS OF DOLLARS!! They don't know where to get BILLIONS OF DOLLARS INSTANTLY. 

Because some other countries in the world are still doing BARTER.

Let say you want to buy a brand new house in Canada. The price of a new house is worth $750,000 + GST & PST = $840,000     Tax = 90,000

There are "some people" who are buying houses worth more than the price above & they are helping the GOVERNMENT OF CANADA. 

I think the CHECK & BALANCE here in CANADA are counting everything so minute and into every details. Very detailed. Accounting works here. That's why when all those TAXES are accumulated and after filing of income tax, some people received refund, CTB Benefit for their kids, Carbon tax payments, Rebates, etc. etc.   HEALTH CARE is FREE its because with all accumulated taxes and those who patronize the LOTTERY BC 49,649 and other Charitable Institutions had helped provide free Health Care for Canadians. 

HEALTH CARE IS FREE BUT HEALTH CARE WORKERS ARE PAID WITH HIGH FALUTIN WAGES. Something for them to be happy about. For them to complain about their too high salary? Mind boggling.

MIND BOGGLING TAXES also helped pay for the budget in all MINISTRIES OF THE GOVERNMENT and burgeoning tasks and works for the members of the PARLIAMENT including their high falutin yearly salary, bonus and benefits and mansions, sports cars and expensive SUV's. Well endowed richy members of the Parliament. And if they are not doing their job properly... let's have PEOPLE STRIKE.

What you can buy with $90,000? Maybe a brand new EV Ford or EV Winnebago or a Bayliner boat.

For the economical buyers they would be buying houses already been rented or been in the market for more than 2 years or buy an old house to be renovated instead.

 

NO PST. Just GST

 At first some Canadians are happy about the tax break 5% for two months and then they started calculating using their calculators... lol 

5% is really nothing! 

You guys should go shopping in Alberta because all products has zero PST. You don't have to pay 7% PST. Albertans are lucky for they have no 7% PST all year round they only have to pay on goods and services which is 5%.

Wonder why. 

Let see if they (ALBERTANS)  will follow the 2 months tax break: WITHOUT PST & WITHOUT GST.

GST TAX BREAK For Canadians

 The PM of Canada JUSTIN TRUDEAU announced this morning about GST TAX BREAK for Canadians temporarily for the months of December 14, 2024 - February 14, 2025. Then Canadians can receive $250 cheques from the government in Spring of 2025.

What commodities or products that are included in the tax break?

Beer, wines, diapers, clothing, toys, no GST tax imposed on restaurant/fastfood items, including delivery.

GOOD ENOUGH for restaurants/fast-food owners. GOOD ENOUGH for parents with babies.

Is that good? Why temporary only? Because according to Liberal Party Leader it is just "stocking stuffers." LOL.

Look, the price of GAS was $1.66 /liter last week until Monday then yesterday, Wednesday... the price of Gas went up to $1.77/liter. If the GST TAX BREAK take effect what basic commodities will increase its regular price? Do you think supermarkets wont increase the regular price of products?

WAIT & SEE.

Would it be helpful if they can lower the price of rental houses/apartments/condos? Because actually nobody can afford housing in Canada. No one's happy the way things are in Canada. THE HIGH COST OF LIVING makes everyone unhappy and being GRINCH for the Holidays is expected. Can't blame those people. They are only humans.

Just recently, the BOMB CYCLONE was announced on radio, TV & Newspapers. Nobody rushed to the supermarkets to buy foods, or anything for the preparation of such bomb cyclone. You know why? You know damn right! Thanksgiving and Halloween festivity had them being frugal for the next days and next days to come.

Only in Florida when hurricanes will hit them and people from all walks of life rushed to the supermarket to have food, bottled water, hardware, first aid kit,  supply of all kinds. Mad rush until all stores and supermarkets were empty.

According to Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre that GST TAX BREAK is actually GST TAX TRICKS.

Here's the problem too, greedy vendors would increase the regular price of commodities once GST (5%) is pulled out from its receipt. You think you save something? 

I remember the time when COVER GIRL compact powder was only $5 in year 2020. Then when the minimum wage increase for workers took effect, that product went up to $17.00. That's weird of over pricing effect. Price of gas was only $ 1.50/liter then hike up to $2.25/liter. Que horror! The over pricing, the high inflation and all the astronomical price of basic commodities is like EVIL DEAD and Apocalypse Z.
