The DUMBO VERSION with a Donkey

Just like scientists, clock and wristwatch maker, surgeon, doctors, the missionary or priests have to do their special task real special and they cannot perform other task meaning in other words, their special skill should only be used for ONE task only that is required of them, this is called SPECIALIZATION. It's more like employer pays HIGHER salary for such specialist to do his work so that the result is about PERFECTION.

The Amazing race contestants and crew were in Rome last week and Sunday's episode featured them at the Pit Stop at the Piazza Popolo to Bagnoregio. They all rented vehicles, drove to the next destination in Italy, and on the way the view of the mountainside, hills, valleys are evident. They went straight to the uphill bridge that looks like part of the Great Wall of China. How that happened? The Village is connected to the concrete bridge and on top of the hill the village is located on top. It could be a century-old castle. They read the task from the clue card that they can choose DONKEY RUN RACE from BUILDING A DONKEY. Rachel and Brendon who first arrived at the Village managed to tame two donkeys and they rode on top of those animals to race around the courtyard while the band of musicians played a certain village music. Rachel fell down and so as Brendon making it hard for them to race again but they have to try again and again until the race is finished. Then hour later, Connor and Dave arrived. It seems that the two opposite teams are building a gap already because Rachel was so unhelpful to the father and son. But Rachel's reason is nothing personal but because they are in a "RACE." Rachel and Brendon finished their donkey race and proceeded to the next place in search for the next clue. The newlyweds have to double U-Turn one team and they have chosen Connor and Dave. Why them? You have to ask Rachel. Next destination is Hostaria del Ponte.

Dave and Connor finished the donkey race and also went to the clue card site and were dismayed upon being double-U turned. The cowboys arrived at the site and can't believe that the father and son duo were U-Turned by Rachel and Brendon. The two teams went to build the donkey made of wood. Assemble the wooden toy donkey from scratch or pieces (like a wooden puzzle) . They were still in the assemble line when Leo and Jamal arrived and the two girls Caroline and Jennifer came in and woked on the wooden donkey too. They all cannot figure out what's really missing with their donkey toys until one team lift the last remaining saddle-like carrier on top of the donkey. The carrier is for firewood that they have to carry all the way to the site where the oldman and the wooden puppet Pinocchio is waiting by the door of their house. The puppeteer gave them the next clue and off they were to the next destination and task.

THE WRITE STUFF: Road Block. Handwriting a page from the Holy Bible by means of CALLIGRAPHY using the quill style (using fresh ink from a bottle and feather pen). Once they are finished with calligraphy they have to paste speck of gold dust or gold flakes on top of the big bold letter D one of the pages of the manuscript to illuminate the script as in illuminated Guttenberg style script. Rachel tried so many times. This is a task that she was almost gave up. However the monk didn't let her go until she is finished with the task. Brendon keeps on praying and praying so hard at the monastery adjacent to the room where Rachel is. Then the next team arrived to do the same task. However Rachel is done with the calligraphy and off they went to the Funicolare to the peak tram, rode the train and arrived at the Pit Stop where Phil Keoughan was waiting. Rachel and Brendon won this leg of the race and also won cash prize.

Oh well seems politics involved in this theme. Would you like the ELEPHANT as in Republicans or DONKEYs for Democrats? Elephant can carry big loads of logs because of its massive trunk or would you like donkeys who can only carry firewood?

Republicans who can order the mission and have all the men by the ranks or have Democrats do the writing while their Master is away from its Home? It's the Republican who is the main administrator of the White House did you know that? Without them the White House is always in jeopardy. While the Democrats rule the White House the armed forces cannot provide maximum security within the government. Democrats only rent the House. It's like the story of STARGATE the original movie. Whatever. Just my opinion. Old conservative opinion.

Doesn't make sense? You should read WORLD HISTORY from the very beginning. Maybe read the Holy Bible first. First make sure your hands are clean. make sure you had a shower and have clean clothes when you read the Holy Bible. Long time ago, you have to be very clean to enter the House of the Lord. The Church accepts clean people of good moral conduct, good conscience wearing clean white robes, proper grooming and cleanliness is advisable to be admitted inside. Nowadays? Time and unbearable horrible situation has changed the proper conduct and rules at the Church.

What really happened at the AMAZING RACE All Star Cast?

The last Pit stop on this episode is at the Beach called "Lavinia" or maybe another beach resort but that's how I heard it. So it was Jamal and Leo who arrived first at the Pit Stop and won. Followed by other contestants:

From Colombo, Sri Lanka (Ceylon) > (Bandaraniake Airport) to Rome Italy > Leo and Jamal the first team to depart to Rome, Italy.

They found the clue at the Bridge. They have to choose one of two tasks which they have to perform at the Coloseum.

Task 1: Gladiator Competition. The contestants have to be tutored first on how to use the sword and shield before they are to fight or battle with Rome's gladiator. The gladiator doesn't want them to use their shield. He really wanted the two to lay flat on the ground. They were winning but still they have to "be slayed" for that scene. That's what you call SCRIPTED. lol. That's unfair eh? Only Jessica and John participated in this task The rest of the teams have to finish the task Charioteer- Chariot race a bit out of control because the chariots are manually controlled or remote controlled racing around the make-believe race track. Takes time to do this task. Time consuming. Every time they tried to race the chariot keeps tumbling and the toy soldier gets crashed and crushed by the chariot and the chariot of another team,  crowding too much in a small space race track with big rocks scattered like an asteroid.

Last task is to count the stairs of the "Spanish steps."   Adjacent to the house where John Keats , the poet lived while he composed so many poems. They have to post the number of steps in Roman numeral numbers at the back of the postcard. as in MCMXXIV. Uhm? The steps ? 135 actually.

First to arrive at the PIT STOP (Piazza dil Popolo) where Phil Keoughan waited for them one by one: Brendon and Rachel (Newlyweds) who won travelocity tour in Australia.

Shocking Presentation and Interpretation

It's a GO? Or it's a HEX? The GAME continues and the RACE goes on and ON.

From Colombo, Sri Lanka to Colombo Rowing Club the Pit Stop of last week's episode:

The father and son Dave & Connor arrived at the Pit Stop first and won. Then they have to go on a trip once again to the next destination > DUTCH MUSEUM.

Travel by train to Alawwa which will take the contestants 1 1/2 hour by train to the Ceypetco Gas Station (Fuel Station). There are Tasks involved as usual PUMP IT UP. At the Gas Station they have to ask the clerk the color coding card and then distribute those 4 cards (each team has its own designated colors) to four pedicab-taxi that the contestant has to fill it up the gas tank with 3 litre of gas each. It was chaotic. The heat of the sun, the traffic and all the noise out there is enough for anyone to faint. They managed to finish the task anyways. Then they raced once again and they have to do the DETOUR. TRUNK or SHEETS?

In TRUNK they have to haul and lift the logs one by one with the help of the elephants who are chained from their legs to the head while the elephant's long trunk lift the log one by one and carried it to the truck. The process takes long and slow that the contestants decided to help. Wow! At least they know that they have to use their muscles to and brain power which is the most important part of being in the RACE. After the task is finished the contestants throw a sheath of  palm for the elephant to nibble on.

Really?!!!! I think this is becoming a GAG show or AIR FARCE.

In the SHEETS. They have to make paper from scratch. Make paper by mixing elephant's dung? Are you sure? MAYBE SHEETS from those logs hauled in by the elephant. Boil the materials together in a container follow the right temperature and time needed to finish the task.  Laborious and unsanitary I think.

I hope those paper wont be used as facial tissue, toilet tissue or worse of all? Hopefully that it wont be used as "sanitary napkin or baby diaper."

They were asked to go to the tree house (Rest House) the flute musician plays his flute and they have to listen to him play the flute and the clue will be given. Train ride was again and they came running one by one to reach the Pit Stop: Lavinia Hotel where Phil Keoughan is waiting. In orer of arrival: Leo and Jamal arrived first and won five nights accomodation and trip to Berlin, Germany.

It's a non-elimination round. The girls are lucky? Hmm---

The WALKING DEAD series: At the TERMINUS: The group of Grimes arrived at the Terminus and found that the area is so fishy that they decided to use the backdoor. Grime, the sherrif thought something is wrong and evil in that area and without seeing the familiar people whom they met before at the CELL made them entirely suspicious. However their suspicion becomes evident and they were one by one asked to enter the CONTAINER located on the track. The container was dark and stinky they were afraid and nervous. It was creepy quiet until they heard movements from other side of the closed container and discovered the first survivors were there also captured inside the container.

What will happen to them is simply one couldn't wait for another week. Will they remain alive for the long duration of being enclosed with the rest of human beings whose clothes and bodies are filled with rotten smell of blood and filth? Will they survive? Is one of them infected? What's really the cause of zombie infection? Is it from flu? From rabid scary virus? Why they are not infected with blood coming from those zombies even if the rotten flesh and blood was all over their skin?

This television series phenomena is wicked and TWISTED! Everyone's talking about this TV series.

AMAZING RACE ALL STAR CAST Version 2014

The continuation of the Race:

From Kuala Lumpur to Batu Caves where Jet and Cord won this leg of the race and the first team to depart from Indian Ocean to Colombo in Sri Lanka (Ceylon). However all the teams have problem with the deaparture flight to Colombo because the flight is full already however they tried other planes to board in different route thr. connecting flight. Rachel and Brendon was able to fly via Singapore to Sri-Lanka and reached the Gangaramaya Temple but it was closed for the night. While waiting for the temple to open in the morning the rest of the teams arrived and they were all welcomed to wear the white monk's robes for their ceremonial quest whatever is that they are wishing and praying. Clue card was given to each one of the team and then they rode the train to Galle which is the most amazing experience they had because the train ride features the scenic view of the beach, the coconut groves and many other interesting sceneries only them who can fathom the beauty of what they have seen. After the train rideT they have to ride a pedica-taxi on route to where those bunch of coconuts are located, from outside the hut. Two tasks they have to choose: Fishing while sitting on a bamboo pole at least hundred feet away from the shore maybe, where there are school of fish swimming abundantly. Or try spinning the circular dish while the spinner dances to the tune of the music. First to finish this task was Dave and Connor ( Father & Son) who first caught their first catch of two fishes and got their clue card. They went ahead to the Trendy garment factory where one of them has to do the task of "A Stitch In Time Saves Nine." Others can do the silkscreen printing of T-shirts with Ceylon's flag on it; wherein Brendon and Rachel team's the only one who managed to do that task. They have the chance to watch what those garment seamstress are doing first so that they can start with their own work. Sewing navy /white polo shirt is somehow a little bit easy for Connor because he said he took a subject (sewing) in High School. He also finished this part of the task ahead of the race and the father and son arrived FIRST at the PIT STOP. Dave and Connor won $5,000 each courtesy of Phil Keoughan and the Amazing Race's management/production.

Amazing Race 2014 A.S. Cast:

From Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur: The Father and Son > Dave & Connor
 Team arrived first to Kota Kinabalu Pit Stop and then were given the clue to do some more tasks:

LEAPS & BOUNDS: At the Bornean Long house where the Era Budaya performed their tribal feat. where one from each team has to jump on the native trampoline made of bamboo to reach the flag hanging from the center of the ceiling. One by one they have to jump and reach for it if they can't reach it because it was really too high they have to try so many times until they get the flag. Connor has no problem with the jump in this task. No time limit to do this task. Jessica got her foot hurt and was bleeding that she stopped and was given the medical assitance. Other teams have to perform the task so many times.

Clue was given again and the teams have to depart from the airport, flight bound for Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. They all headed to the tallest tower known as the Petronas Twin Tower's where the Sky Bar is located which is famous for its discotheque with its state of the art bar pool and techno mixes. In Sky Bar one from each team have to try the detour: MIX MASTER DJ or MASTER MIX.

In MIX MASTER DJ, the contestant has to practice being a DJ by mixing sounds to the delight of the audience at Sky Bar following the rhythm of the techno sound. While in MASTER MIX, one contestant has to pour in two different types of cocktail on empty wine glasses. How to pour in three orange juice on three empty glasses and

on top of the four wine glasses that should be poured in with cranberry juice (?). Many hours have passed by and nobody can get it right. It took three hours for Dave and Connor to finish that detour. The rest of the teams found other way to beat the odds by being a DJ mixing sounds and that too is difficult to master but so many try-outs and then they succeed. Try and try until you succeed is the motto. Margie and Luke have more than 23 attempted try-outs to say the least. They made a deal with the other team but finally they got the mix right and Brendon and Rachel was left behind in the Sky Bar.

In order of arrival at the Pit Stop: Batu Caves where giant Buddha statue can be seen, Phil Keoughan and a "monk" were waiting for them to arrive:

AMAZING RACE 2014 All Star Cast Version

The continuation of their journey to complete the Amazing Race:

From Guangzhou, China and at the Pit Stop it was Team Rachel and Brendon who arrived at the Pit Stop first and awarded a prize by the Host Phil Keoughan.

They received a clue once again that they have to depart from the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, board a flight to Sabah, Borneo in Malaysia.

In Borneo: They have to retrieve the clue card again at the concrete stairs which is kind of familiar. I think it was once the "scene" of the previous Amazing Race episode but that was in Jakarta, Indonesia...I think. Anyway they proceeded to the waterfalls and retrieved the Travelocity gnome. one person from each team has to rock climb down the path through where the clue envelope is to be found. One by one they have to do that task to the waterfalls and let the water streamed down on their face. Oh yeah! that was exciting eh? The scene reminds me of the movie "The Mission."

From the Waterfalls they have to journey their way to the Kampung Tombung. They have to build a raft made from bamboo poles that they can use to travel and deliver goods (fruits, onions, etc. inside the box) to the village where the datu awaits their safe arrival. Or they can use the detour to travel by raft on the river and ask another tribe wearing bark of trees as clothes to help them use the "pipehitter" or "sumpit" to target the parrots. To build the bambbo raft they have to use nylon cords and they can tie the bamboo poles tightly and sturdy enough to stand the rough current of water. The water is calm and steady during the delivery of the goods to the village but to another tribe the path to that area is rough and rapid flow of water is a bit harsh that they get stuck to the curve or thrown overboard, and sometimes they have to fight for their lives. Weird eh?

What's New? What's old?

The OLDs and The New. I think that's the highlights of the OSCAR's Awards Night this year of 2014. Even the stage is the same as its previous presentation. Except that they have added those helium or plastic replica of the Oscar's statues. The host of the show is funny sometimes, but she made sure that she entertained them down at the aisle or from where they are seated just like what she is doing in her television show Ellen. Think that it was an "extension" of her show rather than the Award's Night itself. What do you think? She changed her outfit 3x. Black and white, all white, black and grey. Black and white= Brown.

Ellen Degeneres, the hostess of this Oscar's whose selfie with other great actors and actresses crashed the twitter site. That's what they said. Did you know that only ten thousand to twenty thousand tweets can crash your website? You wont be able to log in to your own site. If you have a million tweets? You wont be able to log in to your site within a year unless you made a new account. Worst of all you have to buy a new computer with higher GB storage. Clicking the site simultaneously all at once in the same time can shut down a site. You wont believe what happened in previous "American idol show" where normal clicks are in millions per minute. That anyone who would like to have a multi-click rating on their website should own a computer with a huge storage that is capable of billion bytes. Have a computer hard drive with the 10,000 GB at least. Imagine? At present time the only available GB storage in electronic store is 500GB RAM. Who owns a hard drive with a storage for 10,000 GB? Ask Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerber or you can also ask Sergei Brin.

Who's the funniest of the night? Jim Carrey is truly a great comedian. He made me laugh. He should host the Oscar's next year. There are on the spot comedians. You never know that they can make you laugh until they talked. Whoopi Goldberg was wearing the black and white almost similar outfit that Julia Roberts wore in last year's Award's Night except that she wore red high-heeled shoes and striped knee socks. There were actresses that wore old vintage gowns that made me think thatsome are very thrifty now? Or maybe the weather condition had their beautiful gowns messed up by the harsh messy condition? Whatever.

Ellen asking donations in cash from the stars is funny. You made the theatre look-like a church. lol.

Best in Gowns that night are: Jennifer Lawrence, Angelina Jollie, Portia de Rossi, Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis, Amy Adams.

Best Actor: Matthew McConaghuey for Dallas Buyers Club, Best Atress: Cate Blanchett for Blue Jasmine, Best Supporting actor: Jared leto for Dallas Buyers Club, Best Supporting Actress: Lupita Nyong'o, Best Picture: 12 Years a Slave.

It was a long ceremony. Pink, the singer sang the Wizard of Oz themesong, Betty Medler sang his famous song " Wind Beneath the Wind." Will Pahrell is a stand out for his rendition of "Happy song" and famous actresses danced with him. Great! The whole ceremony, Academy Awards Night is simply unforgettable for the new stars who won first time in this prestigious award giving body.

AMAZING RACE 2014: All work and no play? There's more play in this episode. The whole cast were still in Guangzhou, China. From the pit stop of the Opera House to the Chen Clan Academy. Jet and Cord, the cowboy departed to the next venue by foot to find the clue to the next task. They traveled to the next venue by MTR and have their forehead marked with "chinese characters or symbols." They proceeded to the toy department store and assembled the toy truck or jeep. All the teams did their part except the country singers Caroline and Jennifer who tried to lure the cowboys to give their Express passport to them. Uhm, not good. Finally the cowboys gave in and gave the Express pass to the two women. Is that allowed? They delivered the toy jeep to the nursery where the children are waiting for the arrival of their toys. Mark and Mallory had to retrieve Mark's backpack that they incidentally left on the road. They lost so much time to get the bag and good that it was still there after few hours? That's a miracle! Imagine.

Next tasks: Ancient Chinese therapy ( to stimulate blood flow) or Play "sipa." with the chinese residents of Guangzhou. Two exercises they have to finish before going to the last pit stop in this episode of American race.

First to arrive are: Brendon and Rachel who won $2,500 each. and the last to arrive at the Pit Stop were: Mark and Mallory. Meghan asked what those tasks are for?

The first episode is the most challenging tasks ever. Being an acrobatic hanging through air above space and performing the much deadly stunts eh, that's too much. That's death-defying tasks!!!!!!!!! The second episode is nothing to what they did in comparison with the first episode. Meaning the producer is simply not an animal to let them get exhausted from strenuous activity. Because the next episode is shocking once again to do or to even think. They will battle a cascading water, a ferocious rushing water, it's deadly once the person in training is carried to the water falls a training done by so many search and rescue volunteers around the world. Same kind of training for the military. You have to be reminded that the contestants are now "stars" right? They are reality stars! I'm seeing in advance a scene from "A River Runs Through It." That many actors and actresses have to do their own stunts, mostly scary. Oh my! What a life!

Dr. Jose P. Rizal is not officially considered to be the NATIONAL HERO of the Philippines according to news cast on Filipino Channel. Really? They probably are not Filipinos or studied in the Philippines that's why they do not know Dr. Rizal. Funny! Ridiculous! Amazing Race 2014 Returns

Unbelievable but it's true! Looks like it's Christmas in February! It started on the 23rd of February and until today, February 24... the snowy winter wonderland is evident of a very cold season and what a timing that Sochi.ru Winter Olympic games has ended yesterday, February 23, 2014 but not here in Canada.

I think Canada is the true North strong and free.

When the weather temperature is cold and below negative then what you think is the reason for this sudden turn of events? Have to stock lots of food in the fridge. Cook lots of food and eat. Keep yourself warm by having hot beverage, coffee, hot cocoa or hot chocolate with milk for kids. Have a bowl of soup to keep you healthy and energize your daily life.

The forecast of more snowfall? Wait till you see what's on the ground today.

Once again the AMAZING RACE has started at 8pm Sunday night. It was an "all star cast" teams from previous amazing race contest were chosen to to fill up the 11 teams to the leg of the race that will lead them to journey around the world within time limit. Phil Keoughan the host of the most popular travel and tour race contest asked the first to plu their electric car a Ford Hybrid to its socket before the teams were asked to find the "chinese symbol or character" on top of the UCLA's cadet musician's headgear. Then they have to begin their journey travel by car to the airport heading for China. Guamgzhou, China.

From Guangzhou, China the eleven teams, the whole cast went to the clue retrieval. First Task: Shop until you drop. They have to find the bridal shop named "Silver Gorgeous" at the Bridal District where beautiful bridal gowns and party dress are made to perfection. The sales clerk will hand over a bag of clues inside then they have to travel again to find the Canton Tower which is the highest tower in the urban district of Guangzhou. It was a circular tower so high that you can see the whole skyline, aerial view of the city. On top of the tower is a feriswheel  at the edge. From those ferris wheel cubicles the hidden clue envelope is located. They opened the envelope. Some have the "try again" instructions and other envelopes have the right clue which is another task to make. Next is to find the clue at Haixinxia Stadium. State of the art stadium down below the tower of Guangzhou.

At the Stadium, each one from the team will have to head over heels acrobatic stunt 5x up on the air with just two sturdy cords or durable wire? tightened to their waist and legs as support. Well just like the stunts that Angelina Jolie performed in her movie.

1. Jet and Cord, the cowboys arrived by foot at the Pit Stop and was given the Express Pass. Another Express Pass was given to them and they will share it with another team who they thought deserve the Express pass.

11. Natalie and Nadiya - the Sri-lankan sisters are eliminated on this leg of the race. Remember them on their first try of the race? These twins are noisy, they always chat and quarrel with each other, one is always grumpy and moody. Sometimes they hate each other and sometimes when they talked they keep rushing what they are saying and most of the time talking the same words at the same time. Too bad they were eliminated right away.
