Fiction Vs. Reality

Elite, aristocratic group of handsome, younger men were selected and chosen to defend and guard the Silla Kingdom. Story of love, passion and friendship. I hope there are new fighting skills to show (martial arts) because I love the actions. Action speaks louder than words.

Yup, another Korean drama/comedy/action HWARANG is a sure thing to watch for every night at TFC (The Filipino Channel) Korean language dubbed in Tagalog. You should have English subtitles, you know so that my daughter can read it on the TV screen.

You asked me what happened to BIG BROTHER - ALL STARS (USA)?
The usual introduction happened and Julie Chan Moonvest the original host for Big Brother gave the houseguests all the cues and procedure even if the houseguests were "repeaters of the game/contest" before.

The first game begun and the first winner of BIG BROTHER Head of Household was Cody and the first winner for POV (Power Of Veto) was Enzo. Last night through series of games, dialogues, and  Q&A (Ans. thr. True or  False), the winner was Memphis as the new Head of Household (HOH). Kesha, unfortunately was eliminated by the cast or BB Houseguests of last night's episode.

Orphan Black + Split + Glass

Not much to watch on TV yesterday, aside from the marathon of the science fiction drama series ORPHAN BLACK starring the multi-talented Tatiana Maslany. She is such a very clever, versatile actress able to manifest herself in different roles assigned to her. She can deliver dialogues in different accent and tone, mannerisms totally different from her other persona.

The most interesting & challenging roles were given to Helena, Rachel & Cosima.
Of course all roles played by TATiana.

That's the female portrayal of an intelligent artist/actress.

James McAvoy can do so well in his portrayal as being a schizo first then later on his multiple personality has intertwined with animalistic behaviour that only few people can understand. Hey, only for movies such as GLASS and SPLIT. James McAvoy you are WANTED!

Incredible Story Of Love

 There's really nothing wrong with this pretty girl except that she is smart and looks like she will do anything just to be married with Prince Leong (Park Bo Gum). However...

 Prince Leong is very much in love with his political eunuch who is actually a girl.

 Whether the Crown Prince is willing to obey his father who is currently the King and a somewhat a coward, always afraid of something or being paranoid that one of those days when the rebel will kill him and overthrow his power as a King.

 Hong Raon, the beautiful daughter of the rebel who was in hiding from the palace guards after her disguise was compromised and living with her mother in far away village where nobody knows them. Kim Yoo-jung is a look-alike of the actress Julie Vega. She's smart and funny and very photogenic.

It is by fate that the wedding was put to a halt. STOP. And Prince Leong was somewhat relieved that the wedding wont happen after the palace guards caught Hong Raon's father. Then next the trial begins right immediately. Yey! saved by the bell. LOL.

The last episode I watched from this teledrama series: Byeongyong in a suicidal attempt to rescue and defend Hong Raon and her father from beheading used Prince Leong as his "captive" like a game of chess moves. Hong Raon and his father including some loyal guards were able to escape but Byeongyong got hit with an arrow, then another arrow and a blow of a samurai attack from someone closed to him. Byeongyong was about to be buried, covered with cogon grass but here comes another hero, the Minister of Culture and tried to save his friend. Yeah, it was sort of very dramatic that we thought Byeongyong the most loyal trusted friend of the Prince was a real hero. Of course he didn't die. Wow! Their ancient medicines really worked so perfectly in this story that can put the modern medicines of today as nothing but fake. Or because the doctor was a godlike creature? Hey, you should also take into consideration the Minister of Culture played by Kwak Dong Yeon as Kim Byung-yeon for being a man with good conscience and very remorseful. He's cute too you know. If Prince Leong (Lee Yeong) would marry the daughter of one of the Ministers, Hong Raon is better paired of with Kim Byung-yeon. lol. But you know in a story, the lead male character always get the chance to be paired with the lead female character for a happy ending. ?

LOVE IN THE MOONLIGHT

BIG BROTHER returns tonight at Ch. 104 GLOBAL

Mysterious Kingdom

The Korean dramedy/action TALE OF NOKDU is finally over! OMG! I'm gonna miss these two incredible lovable characters Nokdu & Dongji who first met at a very difficult circumstances when Dongji has a murderous plot of killing the King but failed and then Nokdu came into the scene and both of them were taken to prison until they were pardoned for not having enough evidence as just circumstantial and just happened they were at the scene of the event where the King is being carried for the "parade" out at the palace. Second chance for them to meet once again at the Widows' Village and Nokdu has proven himself versatile (disguised) dressed as a woman and a widow and to make even more complicated is using Dongji as accomplished to his plan, being his daughter. Sounds weird but how the story goes get complicated, funnier and with all those other cast of characters who are outstanding with their talents in comedy, acting & fighting skills...how not they could go wrong?

With the talented Filipino artists and their  "dubbing skills" translation in Tagalog (instead of Korean language being used) the TALE OF NOKDU is such a great accomplishment of a great story. Sayang! Tapos na. Mamimiss ko sila every night.

I don't know if I like the ending. Yulmo (the prince) took over the kingdom while Nokdu's father, the King had it his last statement that he could have his kingdom but he wont be happy. He asked if he could let others visit him there. lol. Crazy king. In a far, far away Nokdu and Dongji live happily ever after at the island and the Queen would like to join them. END. 

Risks Involve

Would you believe that BIG BROTHER (USA) returns tonight on Ch. 104? Wow! During the pandemic? I don't know how it will turn out. Are they gonna wear face masks and face shields while inside the confinement of the BIG BROTHER HOUSE?

ALL STAR competition of endurance. Yeah mostly endurance test! How long you can hold on to something and the Q & A portion. SKILLS. Lots of skills to show off and the bromance? Do they have to hook up with somebody else? I think that's the strategy of some very interesting people who used each other in order to survive the game but sometimes end up losing the game. Or the bromance could be just a "show-off or just for the sake of fake partnership" just to eliminate themselves from being targeted by other contestants. You know, they have to use their brains too.

BIG BROTHER is not just who's the better looking, who's pretty or handsome but who plays the best game inside the BIG BROTHER. How long each one of them can stay in the most stressful house ever,  where wall mounted cameras and ceiling cameras grill to watch every move they make, including how they breathe and whisper at each other. Everything's been recorded at BB HOUSE including their plans.

Here's the problem...BIG BROTHER premieres at 9 PM tonight. My favourite Korean drama/comedy/action starts at the same time. Episodes at the height of its intensity and there are more fighting scenes to watch this time.

I know that I had a post here that is "untitled" then it didn't get to the publish mode. Suddenly it's gone "blank." Probably been "onionized." lol
