Almost a week of television news regarding the great flood in Calgary due to a great typhoon. The flood water over-flowed from the river to the villages, subdivisions even the urban areas were not spared from the devastation. Unbelievable right? I cannot believe what was happening as if it is some sort of deluvio. We always thought that flood like that of enormous proportion would only happen in Asian countries because of its flat lands. But, you know that Alberta, the Calgary area, the province is a "flat land" where farm lands are located. The grazing land for cattle. It is the location of all Canadian's farm animals, the livestock. It is a "farm land."

As if it didn't happen to the Land Down Under, Australia. They had that epic proportion of storms and flood. Same effect. Winnipeg in Manitoba had that problem long time ago and so as many states of America. Farm lands are for farm living not for urban living.

Philippines was once the rice granary of the world. Billions of staple food are produced in the Philippines. Philippines rice granary is in the province of Luzon. The flood sort of irrigation process for the continuation of cultivating the land for rice production and for other process of vegetation. However, when millions of people populated the area, gone are the rice plantation. Farm lands were replaced with subdivision and malls, mega malls and other infrastructure. Great right?

Not so great! You cannot teach the climate to change its direction. You cannot teach Mother Nature to change its way. Mother Nature has its own rule, sense of direction and just like a habit forming way of destruction > better not to get in her way.

The process of building, renovation and improvement continues. What to do now? The process of healing and subsidies. Great for families with insurance to cover for all the mess. What happened to the people without insurance? Really it was a total mess and we can all pray for the immediate intervention of the good government. The GOVERNMENT and government officials knew what to do. They are paid to do their work and the people who voted for them should represent them in a way that would help most of those people who rely on their special skills. Hopefully they have the skills and know what they are doing. It's their work to HELP and of their greater task to WORK not just standby and wait for them to be called. Action speaks louder than words but with words of authority the "call" is being heard.

You have a "calling" therefore you must act now.

It would be the same process everywhere, in all parts of the globe. What happened to what you are watching on your TV news will act as a "pattern" and from that example you are to learn from it. It is a moral lesson for all of us. We all should own a boat. Every houses, every family should own a boat with paddle and life vests.

Matt & Cat

Sam & Cat tandem? I think it should be Matt & Cat.

The rapport between Matt and Cat is deliriously funny. I hope you're not blind to see how good they are , I mean more than great they are in every episode of  VICTORIOUS.

The only television show that can keep up with the demand is a comedy show. Without comedy in television I don't know what will happen with tele-viewers. We're all gonna be dry and hopeless. It's like being in a desert without water.

Make us laugh Cat and Matt you are the life of VICTORIOUS.
 No offense meant to the rest of the cast. You're all good actually but there are individuals who are more than talented and gifted.

PLs. study hard. If you're not good at comedy TRY DRAMA and action. You'll never know you might end up an awardee at the Golden Globe. You and your friend should try "drama" instead of comedy. FGS!

Who watched the 2nd episode of MASTERCHEF? Anything new or is there something different on how they master the art of cooking? Hopefully the cast will eventually catapult to its high rating by the kind of words they set to use and hopefully there is no such thing as "one trick pony."

ONE TRACK MIND. Be the Masterchef or else...

Seriously it's FOOD that they are preparing and cooking for its gourmet flavor, real deal presentation, and world class act, it is for them to show on TV within time limit of  60 minutes. Sixty seconds is magic and 60 minutes is ONE HOUR. That's a swiftly hour of non-stop grilling, baking, frying cooking and sautéing food to perfection. A lot to learn and there'll be mistakes and from mistakes you'll learn. No doubt. There'll be controversy and back-fighting. Hopefully we pray nobody use their sharp knives in their brawl of sharp words. We'll be watching you...every move you make and every breath you take!

To choose what kind of movies worthy of viewing and watching this age and time would be sort of COMEDY movies. Yeah, why not? Comedy makes you laugh, happy and entertained and get your money back if it is not so funny. In comedy films there is no really a rule as long as it is something that can make you laugh, laugh out loud to the point that your stomach hurts and tears of joy, tears running from your tear glands are really tears from laughing so much and it hurts. Strange at it is there are movies like that brought to you by comedians such as: Jim Carrey,  Jackie Chan, Will Smith, Steve Carell, and the gangs of Ed, Zach and Cooper of Hangover movies.

Have you seen Hangover part III yet? I haven't seen Hangover Part I but I have seen the Part II and it was shockingly funny. What an incredible story of hangover, waking up in Bangkok and then to remember what happened to the three guys are sort of a movie you wont really expect it happened. Something new, not copied from other movies. Meaning no similarity with other movies. Then the chimp, the funny ridiculous witty chimp is a scene stealer. The chimpanzee 's role is incredible!  The Part III of Hangover is also a must-see just to find out if this one the last movie is better than the first and second movie they had.

The last movie I had seen is the FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE. Jet Li is the lead role in this movie filled with new martial arts expertise , brand new story of mystery and suspense and it has comedy Wow! I like it. My daughter enjoyed watching the movie even if it is "sub titled."  I mean subtitles, reading the words in English, the words, sentences , the script intended for those actors and actresses you have to READ them while they (movie stars) act, react and  conversed in their Chinese language. It's okay for me I'm so used to watching Chinese movies but for others? They get confused with the dubbed movie. The comprehension of the whole story will have difficulty. So really the target of this quality movie are Asians who can speak and understand the Chinese language. Of course the movements of their lips when they talked wont match to the subtitles below the screen. It's impossible but its fascinating and interesting to know that somehow there is that movie that can make us think.  The characters talked so fast and their movements in action is swiftly real fast. They are like flying dragons and flying hawk, crows and eagles with magic. Magicians and sorcerer rolled into one. Characters that can think fast and act fast and reaction is in timing with the right correct rhythm of the sound, music and environment. What if what they are saying is not what's on the lines below? Anyway I was able to understand the movie despite of all the obstacles of subtitles. It was a great movie that should be included in the foreign film category for the Academy or Golden Globe Awards. It is such an epic movie. It's another Hero, Flying Daggers , Crouching Tiger and hidden Dragon of a kind movie but with an incredible twist.  T W I S T E R !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Would you believe that there are true story, sort of having irony with the history of the past that ancient rulers have that passwords too to be able to pass heraldry and chivalry. Ah, whatever! It's just MOVIES! We love to be entertained. We all want to be happy and we are entitled to HAPPINESS.

VicTORIous

VICTORIOUS marathon? They usually have such marathon feat of their television shows from time to time maybe because of million requests from teenage fans. Sure Victorious is a popular hit TV show. Who wont admire such hilarious stories of High School teens who are smart, talented, young vibrant pretty girls and good looking guys all of them have special talents to make their presence stick to the story. Each episode is showcase of fabulous talents in singing, acting, knowledge in musical instruments. Victoria Justice ( Tori Vega) the main lead who is an aspiring singer had to compete with the rest of the cast who are almost equally fabulous with distinct characteristic, each one with certain charisma and ability to be there at Hollywood Arts. Call it a school for the gifted students. Tori is the leading lady, the lead role trying to keep balance with her newfound friends with certain attitude and every episode she must end up victorious unless of course some of the other actors and actresses have other important talents to show. Matt Bennet (Robbie Shapiro) whose talents: singing, playing guitar, harmonica and a ventriloquist to a puppet named Rex who is also a scene stealer. Robbie is the light of the show where timing for comedy is always a must-see. He is funny and very talented indeed. His role is flexible there is something in him that makes the show one of the most popular ever. However, noticed that Tori always want to be seen with the other guy named Andrei ( Leon Thomas) who plays the piano. He plays the piano, sings with Tori, and composed on the spot music for Tori or for the whole cast. Cat Valentine is the girl with that sweet  voice , her voice sounds like my long lost friend who moved to Finland. Well I don't think her voice was dubbed in anyway. Maybe her voice is real and it's cute. She seems happy most of the time. Very cheerful and at times doing her role as if she's in another world on her own. Autistic behaviour?  Her duo with Robbie is remarkably amazing. Their voices blend in together like doughnuts and hot coffee. They should have a show of their own. Oh no! LOL. Just kidding. I think Rob and Cat are truly amazing and witty but nerdy in some ways.  It's already a perfect show with all the cast including the annoying Trina (sister of Tori) who also is good with comedy. Beck the most handsome cute guy in the show is the boyfriend of Jade West (Elizabeth Gillies). Beck (Avan Loggia) is seen as the boy next door whose being groomed into a sensible, serious actor and not trying to steal a scene except probably when the role calls for it. He is the model-type guy who continue to impress girls with his manly looks and fabulous expensive clothing. Good taste. Elizabeth (Jade) has that gothic style, always think for herself without batting an eyelash, frank and down to earth. She's a good actress and maybe she is also great in action movies. She's the young Lara Croft in my imagination. Then their mentor for drama Mr. Sikowitz, drama teacher who is a hippy-looking guy in that show who loves drinking coconut juice is also competing with the rest of the cast. He should, after all it's Hollywood Arts and anything can happen in the most unexpected way.

VICTORIOUS is the new Beverly Hills 90210 and Saved By The Bell combined. Just my opinion. Now my M$$$$$$$ question is why VICTORIOUS never receive any award from any award giving body? Why such very creative, talented actors and actresses in that family entertainment show never receive any award when it's good, wholesome and with very educational theme for every episode for adults and kids to watch? Sounds intriguing that there so many trashy, garbage television shows who are nominated and won awards yet Victorious never receive any despite its wholesome image.

It could be that being "wholesome, intelligent" and real talented people wont receive an award in an award giving body filled with graft and corruption. Or you could have other reasons why. Any other reason why Victorious show never receive any awards? Tell me the reasons why.
